Garmin has released new Beta software for Fenix 6, MARQ, Instinct 2 and Instinct 2S smartwatch owners. Beta Version 24.85, an update for the Fenix 6 and MARQ smartwatches, brings two bug fixes to the wearables. Firstly, it resolves an issue which could cause the Fenix 6 and MARQ smartwatches to shut down in some Connect IQ (CIQ) applications.
The second fix has resolved an issue with the altimeter, which you can use to track your elevation. The problem was that the watch would not prompt a manual altimeter sync when the Auto Calibrate (Auto Cal.) setting was in Nightly mode. Update Beta Version 11.14 for Instinct 2 and Instinct 2S also resolves this issue of the missing altimeter calibration prompt. Plus, it adds a new prompt to the Instinct, reminding you to choose your activity profile before launching a workout from the calendar glance widget.
Software version 11.14 provides several bug fixes for issues such as the Race Day glance, which displayed the incorrect temperature and could cause the wearable to crash. Other problems solved include fixing the GCT Balance data field font size, mending the graph in the Sleep Mode watch face and ensuring the value found on the Edit Reps page was not random. As is standard with the Garmin Beta updates, the software is automatically sent to eligible wearables via the Garmin Connect mobile app. Those who wish to join the Garmin Beta program can sign up via Garmin Connect.
